Café Sjiek has won the heart of many locals with their fresh, simple dishes from Maastricht and the region. This Café was founded in 1982 and has become an essential part of Maastricht. Sjiek has a large outdoor terrace in the historic city park.



Sjiek Kookpunt once started as a shop next to Café Sjiek but has been located in the Wyck district for many years now. The Sjiek Kookpunt serves pure, small dishes inspired by Italian cuisine for lunch and dinner. Dining is possible on Friday and Saturday evening.

Il bacaro is located on the corner of the famous Vrijthof-square and is great for an Italian evening in Maastricht. As a ‘cucina e bar (bar and kitchen), you can go there for a drink, a big, or a small bite.

The picturesque “Achter the thermen” square is located in one of the oldest parts of town and yet is quiet and tranquil. They serve a wide variety of Italian foods and an great array of wines at a very reasonable price.
