Procession of Holy Relics Maastricht 2018

Do well and fear not. From 24 May to 3 June 2018 Maastricht will be all about the Procession of Holy Relics (Heiligdomsvaart). You simply must experience the Procession of Holy Relics at least once in your life. In one week, more than 100,000 visitors will come to Maastricht to honour St. Servatius, the patron saint of the city. It is a time to celebrate, come together, and meet one another. Whether you are religious or not, this event is sure to move you.

Maastricht is preparing to celebrate the 55th Procession of Holy Relics, which is held every seven years. There will be various activities, pilgrimages, cerebrations, and processions. The ‘do right and fear no one’ theme will be palpable throughout the city. The shops will have special opening hours during the Procession of Holy Relics. On Sunday 3 June the shops will only be open between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM. Discover the beauty and splendour of the Procession of Holy Relics and visit Maastricht!
