CAFÉ SJIEK – LIMBURGIAN
Because we are, of course, still in the city of Maastricht, we will start with a well-known restaurant among the locals: Café Sjiek! Home of the only restaurant in Maastricht that serves the famous Limburgian dish called zuurvlees in a traditional way, made with horse meat. Café Sjiek also has its own beer and wine called Sjiek Thoesbeer and Sjiek Huiswijn (Chardonnay), both made locally in Limburg.

LA BODEGA – SPANISH
If you are looking for Spanish tapas, sangria’s and cervezas, this is the place to be. La Bodega serves a wide variety of food and lots of the ingredients are transported directly from Spain. One of the advantages of the menu is that you can choose the size of your portions. Adjust the portion to the number of friends you bring, or simply order a big portion of whatever you love for yourself. They also have an extensive wine menu with wines from all over Spain.

For Ristorante Mediterraneo serving fresh food is key. The Tuscan owner makes sure that all of his dishes contain authentic Italian flavors and that his guests are treated with genuine Italian hospitality. This cozy establishment is only a short walk away.

SOFA – EUROPEAN
If you want to escape the crowded city center for an outside dinner then SOFA is the place to be. Just outside the city center, you will find this establishment where nature and city meet each other. The garden is a great place to have dinner. For the colder seasons, you can also dine inside in front of the cozy fireplace, or enjoy a drink at the bar.

A combination of several Asian cuisines with a French twist can be found at Umami by Han. Besides a-la-carte, they serve two different kinds of menus. The social dining menu, the name says it all, is meant to share. For a culinary surprise, you can also choose the ‘Bib Gourmand’ menu!
